It's Sunday! Usually the lamest day of the week, but not this week. Sister is coming home from her 3-month trip to Liverpool and I have loads to do before she gets back (namely, cleaning up). But I'm excited!

After Eight Chocolate Chip Cookies

I mentioned here that I would bake cookies. It all started out nice and dandy, but once I started to mix the dough, the whisk broke. I switched to a tiny one, the size of a fork. Cute yes, but not that efficient. As I started to measure the flour in, the measuring cup broke. I'm afraid that these delish cookies might contain fragments of plaster (sorry for the gastric ulcers friends).

It was good fun though, I laughed my arse off when the second malfunction happened. 

I followed this recipe, adding a tad of black coffee in the mix to boost the flavor of chocolate. I slipped in After Eight chocolates too, for a thin mint surprise inside.

No one can question your bad moves if you embrace them


I went for a quick jog this morning.. Back home, I felt so crazy energized I did an impromptu dance routine by myself, including loads of bad disco dance moves. It was great! Looking stupid is perfectly normal friends, go for it.

As a side note, I got a beautiful orchid as a going away present from the office. Now off to bake cookies for a party tonight.  It'll be a beautiful weekend!

Today I woke up thinking it was Monday

It's my last day at my current job (YAY) and it was so weird walking to the office knowing that once the day was done, this chapter of my life would be over. I'm relieved because at times it's been so stressful, but on one hand I know I'll miss the people I worked with. It's always sad saying goodbyes. 

I was a ball of confusement this morning too, really thinking it was Monday and wondering how the week would turn out, when I realised it's indeed FRIDAY. Happy surprise!

I'll leave you with these, they accurately portray my level of ability to decide on anything in life. Such a silly post this, really.
